AN-IMS 1 is an intensive 3-day hands-on course created for practitioners who have not taken any IMS/Dry needling courses previously or are new to this application of dry needling. This includes those who have previous acupuncture training. AN-IMS 1 instructs participants in the neuropathic clinical reasoning framework, allowing for the safe and effective application of IMS/dry needling across patient populations. In this course participants will investigate the anatomical and physiological mechanisms of neuropathic theory as well as gain significant practical experience applying IMS/dry needling to the whole body.
AN-IMS 1 is taught by university professors in Canadian Physiotherapy Programs and active clinicians with extensive experience in IMS/Dry needling, anatomy, manual therapy and osteopathic techniques.
3 Key Learning Objectives:
- To comprehensively review anatomical structures and regional restrictions to determine appropriate patient selection for the application of IMS (AN-IMS)
- To understand and apply the theory and clinical reasoning necessary to successfully apply Intramuscular Stimulation (AN-IMS) to your patient populations as a treatment
- To safely and effectively treat the whole body using AN-IMS as a treatment modality
